Can you please provide a brief introduction to transACT Technology Solutions and your journey with Sentry Interactive?
transACT Technology Solutions stands at the forefront of providing connected cloud solutions for businesses, specializing in integrating various technologies to build advanced digital workplaces and we see Sentry Interactive as being a leading partner in this space. Our journey with Sentry Interactive began when we identified the need for a secure and innovative cloud-based mobile access control and visitor management solution. The benefit of Sentry Interactive’s solution for our clients is that they can retain their existing access control hardware and utilize Sentry’s cloud-based infrastructure to sit on top of their current access control infrastructure. By adopting their cutting-edge mobile access technology, we have elevated our offering and diversified with a new cloud-based access control product.
In the recent years cloud-based business solutions have flooded the market, what caught transACT’s attention about Sentry Interactive’s solution?
With every project we strive to understand the specific requirements and pain points our clients are suffering; and we know how important it is to deliver the most suitable, robust and cost-effective IT solutions.Having Sentry Interactive as a partner delivered against our core values and customers’ pain points. Customer’s whether property managers or their buildings tenants faced the common challenges associated with traditional access methods and visitor management. No one else provides NFC mobile access for employees and visitors as a software only integration for legacy access control systems without rip and replace. Simply put, Sentry Interactive provides mobile access and digital visitor passes without needing to install additional hardware and works with all major access control systems past and present.
Since collaborating with Sentry Interactive as a leading partner, we’ve been able to recommend a secure, convenient mobile access control and digital visitor pass management software solution as a new type of solution that works alongside our clients existing legacy access control systems and IT infrastructure. Enhancing both operational security, efficiency and user experience whilst also helping to provide a more sustainable solution that helps to reduce plastic and electron waste to assist our clients in meeting their ESG goals.
Can you expand more on some of the pain points that you commonly hear?
Being able to manage visitors and contractors during peak times, out of hours and sometimes 24/7 across multiple locations is often a topic for discussion that causes property managers’ pain. Implementing the right 24/7 visitor entry system that can be remotely but centrally managed, and most importantly integrated with the clients existing access control systems and IT infrastructure is critical. The current processes for managing visitors and M&E contractors is often manual and involves a paper signing in book to capture the visitor details, sometimes 3 separate forms need to be filled out in order to accommodate contractors performing works.
Where applicable, security teams, at times are required to distribute building keys for access to areas such as risers, equipment racks etc., where the process is again manual with security capturing key numbers via a paper form. Some of the locations are manned full time, some are part time, and some have no staff present at all and require a host to be present all times.
Sentry interactive’s mobile access software solution for staff and visitor management is integrated with the key management solution May tag and provides visitor pre-registration, prerequisite capture, automated NFC check-in, automated host notification and NFC key tag tracking. Sentry Interactive also provides a range of kiosks that come in 3 sizes: as an 8”, 21” touch screen and as a 55” freestanding touch screen tower all are PoE powered. The 8” and 21″ multi-touch screens can be fixed to reception desks or strategically mounted flush to walls of common areas to provide digital visitor check-in, remote managed communications, and digital receptionist support.
