Sentry Interactive, an innovator in Readerless Mobile Access and Open Credential enrollment technology, is excited to announce Troy Dunson as Director, North America Business Development
Troy’s career in security technology dates back to the mid-1990s, where he began supporting firewalls, VPNs, secure messaging, PKI, password management, smart cards, and early multi-factor authentication. Over time, his work moved deeper into the intersection of cybersecurity, identity, and physical access control, including support for HID Global’s Crescendo smart card initiative for converged physical and logical access.
That background has shaped how Troy sees the access control security industry today: the badge at the door, the password, the certificate, the mobile credential, and the identity system aren’t separate problems, they’re all part of the same trust conversation.
“Modern access control is not just about replacing a badge with a phone. It is about making trust easier to issue, easier to use, and harder to compromise. Sentry Interactive gives organizations a practical path to modern mobile access without forcing unnecessary hardware complexity.” said Dunson.
Sentry Interactive’s software-first readerless upgrade approach to mobile credentials reflects the same principal Troy has supported throughout his career: that identity and access control solutions should be simple to deploy, secure by design, and free of unnecessary hardware complexity.
In his new role, Troy will focus on building strategic partnerships, expanding channel engagement, and helping organizations across North America understand practical paths to access control modernization.
“We’re excited to have Troy join the team,” said Denis Hébert, CEO and Chairman of Sentry Interactive. “His software and cybersecurity experience across identity and access control, dating back to the early days of PKI and multi-factor authentication, gives him a unique perspective on why simplicity, security, and practical mobile credential adoption matter now. Established relationships in the space will be instrumental in voicing the benefits our solutions can bring to enterprise security in the North American market.”
Troy’s introduction affirms Sentry Interactive’s continued investment in North American growth, as the company brings its Readerless Mobile Access and Open Credential enrollment solutions to a wider range of partners and customers.
